Educators 2018

Thank you to all the 2018 HOOT Educators!! We are so excited to welcome them to Columbus in August. Their talent is what brings you to HOOT each year, so we thought it might be nice to know them a bit more. We included bios and pictures in the Convention Catalog and we will spotlight an educator or two each week as we prepare for HOOT in August.

This week please meet Janice Miller, Fran Mittelstet, Tina Sue Norris, Annamarie Oke, and Mark Polomchak.

For close to 40 years, Janice has taught decorative painting, locally and nationally.  In the beginning her husband, Raymond, designed and made beautiful wooden furniture which Janice’s art work enhanced. After the death of her husband, Janice raised her two children on her teaching abilities in the decorative arts field. Over the years, Janice has taught more than 3000 students the basics of decorative painting in local shops, churches, studios, and universities. Her teaching skills are strong in executing different techniques using most mediums. She has numerous articles in painting magazines and has designed hundreds of patterns.
