What sparked your interest in painting?
I joined TWIG (an auxiliary for Children’s hospital). Many members painted and I was so intrigued. They wouldn’t teach me, so I sought out lessons and learned how to paint. That was forty years ago!
Do you remember the first piece you painted?
Yes, it was an Amish themed piece.
What are you favorite surface, medium and subject to paint?
Acrylic is my favorite medium. I like to paint just about anything on any surface. I’m starting to enjoy colored pencils more.
Is there a project you still want to tackle?
I would love to be able to perfect stroke roses.
What inspires you to paint today?
I love seeing projects turn from a flat surface to something that is dimensional and come to life.
